charity shop crawl.
I have spend an awesome morning visiting every charity shop in a 5 mile radius with my dear friend Gill. She has a buisness hiring out vintage china, so she's always on the lookout for goodies to replenish her stock. My haul included a quirky glass pouring flask straight out of a mad Professer's lab and some fussy flower bedecked vase thingys which I have plans for..... On the making front, I've uploaded a paper bead cuff to the shop(photo below) which has strips of vintage poetry decorating it. I rather fancy making a collar to match.

Hello!
Hello, just a little introduction to the junior author of this humble blog. Predominately, I've been working on making jewellery for the past couple of years, mostly using chunky embroidery on metal and piercing techniques (when I get around to it photos will make an appearance, promise!) although having a bit of a play at decorating also happened on a regular basis, a la, today's photos.
Most recently, however, I'm taking a bit of a venture into wedding stationery- something I've been thinking about for a while, but have only just got around to. Currently, I'm working on pulling together a book of samples and trying to work out some form of plan for myself!
As Friday is my 'list an item on Folksy' day, I shall share todays offering with you, a green swirly pendant. Nothing that's going to rock the world, particularly, but it's a bit of pretty, even if i do say so myself!

new card
I've been playing with some cards that aren't my usual style, but I've really enjoyed doing them. Inspired by Bev Rochester's blog, 'All the Things I Love', I had a go at some cutesy things, and I'm quite pleased with the results. Here's my favourite. I used 'Joy' from Sugar Nellie, coloured with Promarkers and decorated with some flowers I made myself from some rather tatty paper ones recoloured with mica powders and severely reworked. We've spent the day listing things in our Folksy shop- scary!! find us here http://www.folksy.com/shops/MissElainie

happy friday!
Welcome to Miss Elainie's blog. Once I have the hang of this(!), I shall add photos of my latest creations/ramblings and maybe,if I feel brave, the odd tutorial and blog candy.
